A cold oven can mean a failed bake element, a bad sensor, a broken wire or a control board fault. Guessing at the part costs money and leaves the oven broken. Testing finds the real cause.
We provide appliance repair services throughout Contra Costa County, including San Ramon, Danville, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, and surrounding communities.

Oven repairs go wrong when a technician guesses at the cause or names a price before looking. CareFix customers describe something different: a technician who found the fault and explained it first.

“Excellent service. I will use CareFix again and recommend them to others. Our refrigerator died suddenly and as you might imagine, it’s very stressful. Just the loss of food can be expensive but nothing compared to a new refrigerator. I found CareFix online and once I requested service Luke contacted me right away and come out very quickly. Luke was professional and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problems and explained it to me and answered any questions I had. The repair costs would have been quite high. Luke urged me to contact the manufacturer because the warranty likely had not expired. I did contact them and the refrigerator will be fixed at no cost to me. If it all works out Luke will have saved me thousands of dollars. I can’t thank Luke enough for the work, the information and the advice. He is very personable and thoughtful and made a stressful situation manageable. He even put on shoe covers when he came in the house.”
You pay a $75 service call, which covers the in-home diagnosis and a written estimate. If you approve the repair, we waive the $75. We do not quote repair prices until the technician has seen the oven.
Several faults cause the same symptom, so a phone price is a guess. The technician tests your oven first, then gives you a written estimate you can accept or decline.
A failed bake element, a faulty temperature sensor or a control board fault are common causes. Check that the breaker has not tripped, then call us. We find the actual fault on the visit.
A failed sensor or broken wire is often a sensible repair. If the repair would cost close to a new oven, we tell you so. The decision stays yours.
Yes. We repair residential wall ovens and built-in ovens. Freestanding ranges, which combine a cooktop and an oven, are covered by our range and stove repair.
We answer the phone around the clock and offer same-day or next-day appointments when the schedule allows.
