At CareFix Appliance Repair, we provide range hood repair across the Bay Area. When a hood fan stalls, rattles or stops clearing smoke, cooking gets harder. Our technician finds the fault, explains it in plain words, and gives you an estimate before any work begins.
Pick the picture that matches your hood. Whatever it is doing, we find the fault on the first visit.

Don’t see your problem? Describe it when you book and we’ll take a look.
A hood that runs loud or weak has one of a few faults: the motor, the blower wheel, a switch or the wiring. Guessing means paying for parts that were never the problem while the hood still struggles.
From our base in San Ramon, we serve Contra Costa County, the Tri-Valley towns of Alameda County, San Mateo County and the mid-Peninsula in Santa Clara County. Choose your county to confirm your city.

Customers call us after being told a repair was not possible, or after a fix that did not last. We start by finding the actual fault.
Real Google reviews from CareFix customers.
“Excellent service. I will use CareFix again and recommend them to others. Our refrigerator died suddenly and as you might imagine, it’s very stressful. Just the loss of food can be expensive but nothing compared to a new refrigerator. I found CareFix online and once I requested service Luke contacted me right away and come out very quickly. Luke was professional and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problems and explained it to me and answered any questions I had. The repair costs would have been quite high. Luke urged me to contact the manufacturer because the warranty likely had not expired. I did contact them and the refrigerator will be fixed at no cost to me. If it all works out Luke will have saved me thousands of dollars. I can’t thank Luke enough for the work, the information and the advice. He is very personable and thoughtful and made a stressful situation manageable. He even put on shoe covers when he came in the house.”
The $75 service call covers the diagnosis and a written estimate, and we waive it when you approve the repair. We price the repair only after a technician has seen your hood.
Most hood faults sit in the fan motor, a switch or the wiring, and those are repairable. If the hood is old and a repair is not worth it, we tell you.
Fans that will not spin or run slowly, noisy motors, weak suction, lights that stay dark and controls that do not respond.
Yes. Your technician shows you the failed part and explains what caused it before you approve any repair, so you decide with the facts in front of you.
We offer same-day or next-day appointments when available, and we answer the phone around the clock so you can book when it suits you.
